Shipping & Returns

Domestic Shipping

All lemlem orders are shipped from our warehouse in New Jersey. We currently ship via UPS Ground ($10.00) and UPS 2nd Day Air ($28.00). Orders take one day to process and are shipped the business day following order placement (this applies to orders shipped via UPS Ground as well as UPS 2nd Day Air.) Unfortunately we cannot offer overnight shipping, nor can we ship to PO boxes. All residential packages with values of $1,000 or more will require a signature at time of delivery.

International Shipping

All international packages are sent via UPS which features tracking and gets orders to all major markets in 3-5 business days.

Orders totaling up to and including 1 lbs will incur a shipping fee of $47.00. Any orders beyond that weight will cost $85.00 for freight, with the exception of Canada where costs total $36.00 for orders under 1lbs and $67.00 for any order beyond that weight.

Duties and taxes vary by country, and customers are responsible for any customs or duties that may be assessed by their country when the package arrives. We do not accept responsibility for orders not accepted due to failure to pay duties and taxes.

If the Import Fees on an international package are not paid upon receipt, the package will be returned to us. If the shipment is refused, the package is undeliverable, or the Import Fees are not paid, you will be responsible for the original shipping charges as well as the return shipping and Import Fees.

Final Sale

Please note that final sale items cannot be returned for a refund or an exchange. All final sale items are marked as such on their product pages and no returns or refunds can be issued for this merchandise. 

Promotion Price Adjustment

If you visit our site and see a promotion within 72 hours of order placement, you are eligible to receive a price adjustment.

Defective Merchandise

If you receive your garment and you feel there is a quality issue or that it is defective, you may contact shop@lemlem.com within one year of purchase to receive a refund or a garment that is free of problem.

Part of the beauty of each lemlem piece is the handwoven delicate fabric. Due to this production technique slight imperfections and other color variations may occur. We advise dry cleaning all items. 

Returns

We want you to be completely happy with your order. If for any reason you are not satisfied, lemlem gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, undamaged or defective merchandise for a refund within 30 days of purchase. This policy excludes final sale items.

If you wish to exchange your purchase for an alternate size, color or style, please create a new order from the website and return the original item to the address below at your expense:

We prefer that items are returned to us using a shipping provider that issues a tracking number. Please note that we may not accept liability for goods that are not returned via a traceable method.

Once we have received confirmation from our warehouse of the returned items, customers will be notified via e-mail when the return has been processed and credited to the original purchaser's credit card.  Refunds will include sales taxes if your order has been sent to a destination within the US.  Shipping costs are non-refundable.

We make every effort to process your return as quickly as possible. However please allow up to 14 days for it to be processed. Credit card refunds may take up to an additional 10 business days for your bank to complete, depending on its processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.

For international orders, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through lemlem. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise.

What To Include in Your Return

Returned merchandise should include the vendor packaging and tags and be in the same condition as when it was received. Please be sure to return items in the clear bags in which they arrived. The code on the bag should match the code on the hangtag on the garment.

Returns should also be accompanied by the original packing slip when possible. If the original slip is unavailable, we'll issue a refund based on the current selling price. If you do not have the packing slip, please include the following information with your return:

  • Your name and billing address.
  • The name, address and zip code of the person who placed the order, if it was a gift.
  • The original purchase price and approximate date of the purchase
  • The order number and the product numbers of the returned items, if available.
