Inspired by the rich colours of One&Only's Rwandan resorts - One&Only Gorilla’s Nest and One&Only Nyungwe House - we designed this scarf to pay homage to the beauty of Ethiopia and Rwanda, their landscapes, their people and of course the gorillas.
Each scarf starts in the hands of our skilled artisan weavers in Ethiopia and is then embroidered by the women of Ibaba Rwanda.
It also features an embroidered gorilla motif, in honour of One&Only Gorilla’s Nest’s jungle-dwelling neighbours, courtesy of Ibaba Rwanda, a not-for-profit handcrafting workshop that empowers rural women in Rwanda while ensuring an ancient craft is passed down through generations.
